Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the CET Compas platform accessible at cetcompas.co.in.
These Terms govern your access to and use of our college preference list generator, cutoff analysis database, rank predictor, and related advisory services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CET Compas at https://cetcompas.co.in (including all associated tools, sub-domains, and mobile experiences), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue the use of our services immediately. These terms apply to all visitors, registered candidates, parents, and educational counselors.
2. Nature of Service & Predictive Disclaimer
CET Compas is an independent educational analytics and guidance platform. All rank predictions, category-wise cutoff trends, and CAP option list recommendations are computed through statistical modeling of historical State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra datasets.
Important Admission Disclaimer
CET Compas is NOT affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, or the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Seat allotments, official cutoff marks, and merit lists published on cetcell.mahacet.org are sole and legally definitive. CET Compas does not guarantee seat allotment in any institution.
Candidates and guardians must cross-verify eligibility, required certificates, and final option codes against official DTE notification bulletins prior to submitting official CAP forms.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
When creating an account or storing preference lists, you agree to provide authentic and accurate academic information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and login sessions.
- Ensuring that the percentiles, caste category, and quota choices entered genuinely reflect your eligibility under Maharashtra admission rules.
- All activities and list customizations conducted under your authenticated profile.
4. Prohibited Uses & Platform Integrity
You expressly agree that you will not:
- Scrape, extract, or harvest cutoff records, college databases, or algorithm outputs via automated bots, crawlers, or scrapers without prior written consent.
- Use the platform or its exported reports for unauthorized commercial resale or fee-based consulting without a registered partnership.
- Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of our servers, networks, or databases.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or compromise the security architecture of CET Compas.
5. Intellectual Property
The design, proprietary code, brand identity (“CET Compas”), preference sorting algorithms, user interface, and analytical graphics are the exclusive intellectual property of CET Compas.
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to generate and download personalized PDF preference lists strictly for personal educational use.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CET Compas, its creators, developers, and partners shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
- Your reliance on predicted ranks, historical cutoff percentiles, or suggested option orders.
- Any admission outcome, missed deadlines, or failure to secure allotment in Maharashtra CAP rounds.
- Temporary service interruptions, algorithmic updates, or technical downtime during peak admission cycles.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or your use of the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Maharashtra, India.
